About Me

  • What I love about my job: I get to make a real difference in people's lives by helping them improve and protect their vision. It's rewarding to solve vision problems, educate patients about eye health, and build lasting relationships. Every day brings something new, and I enjoy the mix of medical knowledge, technology, and personal interaction. The amazing team I work with keep me inspired. It’s a joy to come in every day knowing I’m surrounded by such genuine, caring teammates.

  • Started working at MJEC: 2024

  • un fact: Many of you may not know this, but I was born in India and spent the first 14 years of my life there. It was where I took my first steps, made my first friends, and learned what it means to be part of a close, loving community. India holds a very special place in my heart, not just because it’s where I come from, but because it gave me so many beautiful memories that continue to shape who I am today. Even though I’ve lived away from India for many years now, it’s still home in so many ways. I go back every year to visit family and reconnect with my roots. In 2023, it became even more special as I celebrated my own big,joy-filled Indian wedding in India, surrounded by love, laughter, and the people who mean the most to me. No matter where life takes me, that part of my heart always belongs to India.

  • Favourite glasses brand: Without a doubt, it has to be Face à Face- the iconic french brand. When you visit me in practice, you will often see me wearing what I call my “ favourite pair of glasses”. I absolutely adore the classic tortoise shell pattern on the front with orange sides to give me that pop of colour. Since having these, Carl has given me some beautiful chunky Kilsgaard frames too but I still find comfort in my Face à Face frame.

  • Proudest achievement: One of my proudest moments came when I successfully completed my Master's degree while simultaneously undergoing my pre-registration training as an optometrist. There were moments of self-doubt and exhaustion, but my passion for the field and my commitment to both roles kept me going. Finally receiving my name plate was the most rewarding moment for me.

  • Superpower: This is a tough one! I’d say my superpower is patience. It’s not just about waiting; it’s about staying calm and trusting that things will fall into place. Patience helps me stay grounded and makes it easier to connect with others, giving them the space they need to grow at their own pace. In a world that rushes everything, I see patience as a superpower that keeps me present, positive, and ready for whatever comes next.
